Grand Final Results & Pre-Season week!

The Season 9 Pro League Grand Final was always going to be a great day! On this Anzac long weekend, we saw 126 Pro Leaguers sit down to play poker with the best WA has to offer!

With the top 13 being paid out starting at over $400, and all Final Table payouts starting at $1300, the top spot still held over $20,000 (plus $5000 WAPL medallion) for taking out the event!

In the quickest Final Table showdown in WA Poker League history, we quickly saw 3 players knocked out, followed shortly after by a 4th. Final 3 was upon us in no time, and Michael Lees, Ryan Kingston and Warrick Spratling faced off across the WAPL Final table.

After just a few minutes 3 handed, both Michael and Ryan were knocked out in the same hand by Warrick with pocket 3's, much to the delight of the Boat club supporters, who were looking down the barrell of a defeat at the hands of the Paddo club!

Michael won $3676 for 3rd place, with Ryan picking up $6151 for 2nd, congratulations guys!

Pro League Results

Warrick Spratling becomes our Grand Champion for Season 9, winning the $20,014 1st place prize, the $5000 WAPL Medallion and the esteem of being a WAPL Champion! Congratulations Warrick!

In Free League, we had a 54 player turnout, with Bas Snijder doing one better than last season's 2nd place, taking out the Free League Grand Final! Congratulations Bas, and Bryan Flanagan for your well deserved 2nd place!

Free League Results

Jan Burke took out the overall Free League Ladder, managing to fight Trevor Rozario off in the last week of tournaments with a great result at the Woodvale! Well done Jan!

We'd also like to congratulate our Top 10 Pro League players for the Season as well as the Pro Venue Winners, as they all had their Pro buy-in paid for as the prize for their results. Also, congratulations goes to the top 5 Pro players this season. Our Pro Season was very close, with Ian Slater ending up winning overall (taking $3000 for his win!) Jill Maley and Robin Sheedy were neck and neck at the end, with Jill overtaking Robin on the final day of tournaments to take 2nd (winning $2000), with Robin 3rd (winning $1000). They were followed closely by Joe Darcy ($600) and Robert Ray ($400).

After such a fun season with such close results, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! We look forward to welcoming you back for Season 10!

Please remember, we DO have some tournaments running in between seasons! Make sure you check our Upcoming Events page for those tournaments which are on as special events, and remember also that Pro Special events that are pre-season attract a bigger payout on the night (Bonus 50%!)
